Known Bugs: None, but you'd better have a damn good video card if you go to the rim. My GF2/933PIII stumbles along up there. Eye candy mostly. Yes there is a way to the rim and more for the devilishly clever. d:-) [you should have seen the temple!]

Author's Notes



CursedCrater — You are getting but a bite of the delicious map I had going. This, as it is, was the original premise - so it is worthy. However, I had originally intended for the ‘mining-facility' to delve into the side of the crater making a couple of rooms for an additional shoot'm-up area. To make it interesting I put in a buried temple. Oy. Wouldn't it be nice to have a secret passageway into the temple? But of course. Then one is left to wonder — where does the passageway go? Actually it became two then four passageways. Oh my! Eventually I had two massive caverns, two mazes(one three floors high), a three layered tower complex many thousands of units high, secret this, secret that, half a dozen teleporters ... and it ALL WORKED! Wow! Was a map in itself, LOL. Unfortunately, when I started adding lights it crashed my editor. Word to the wise (no one tells you) ADD LIGHTS AS YOU GO. Eventually I had to delete ALL the temple to get the original crater design to start taking lighting. After that was well under way I thought how nice it would be to have actual falling(killing) meteorites!!! Did five. They worked. Well - mostly. Ended up deleting them as well. Still, this is a fun small map — as it is. d:-) Let's see... a story line ? Seems clear enough, you're with a group who is there to excavate the buried temple complex - only to find it comes with a curse! The meteors were beneficial to that effect. Alas... d:-\ Please check out my other two maps; DM-Carceri and DM-Dycropolis.
